Came into this world and opened my eyes
Saw it all without understanding
Was cared for by people near me
Then gradually I began to develop
Saw faces that I could recognize
Heard a few familiar voices
Moved to a different place
A place they called a home
Day by day I learnt more
Day by day I was corrupted
All the things and people near me
Began to influence my mind
Crawling on all four I saw this world
Trying to grasp everything coming my way
Playing with whatever came in my hand
Then crawling further to new terrain
They said my smile was so pure
Expressing nothing but happiness and joy
You all would remember, we were that child:
Who with unselfish smile could rule the world
Unconcerned with the pace of time
Which now has made me what I am
I cried aloud when I needed something
Smiled and played when I was content
Began to walk upon my feet
Used to fall a lot and rise again
Started uttering some sensible words
Probably that's where my story ends
Is that child now alive or dead?
Or like many before him who came on earth
Has lost his innocence, dreams and smiles:
In the path to become a Man?
